Hi Helen,
I thought this was a beautiful article, It allows mother's and daughter's the ability to bond. My daughter who is 12 wants to try this. Thanks for sharing and I'll let you know how we do!

Such a wonderful and touching story, Helen. Mothers and grandmothers leave such wonderful legacies for us. To follow in their footsteps brings them closer to us.
Thank you for a great article and sharing your story.

Happy Birthday, Tuculia! And I'm so glad you liked the article. I am anxious to hear how it goes with your daughter. I am thrilled that she is still open to the possibilities at age 12, you must be doing a great job and I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
Thank-you Phyllis! I originally wrote the article the year after Mom had passed, and the funny thing is, as I started writing a lot of memories came back to me. I was surprised to learn that my sister, after reading the article, had no memories of Mom making doll clothes for us on a rented sewing machine! I guess it wasn't as important to her, dolls aren't her thing.

I have four Little Women cloth dolls, the sisters. I need to make clothes for them. Do you have any patterns for dresses, etc. for that time period?
I guess I should have started a new thread for this. I will do that now.
