It's time once again for the 2011 Masterpiece Mystery! summer season. Here is what we know so far:
Hercule Poirot - Three new episodes featuring David Suchet as Belgian detective Hercule Poirot begins in June with Three Act Tragedy (June 19), The Clocks (June 26), and Hallowe�en Party (July 3),
Miss Marple � We see the return of Julia McKenzie as Agatha Christie's detective in a brand new episode The Pale Horse (July 10).
Zen - Detective Aurelio Zen brings justice to modern-day Italy. Rufus Sewell stars as Zen in three episodes airing July 17, 24 & 31. The series is based on the books by Michael Dibdin.
Be sure to mark your calendars so you don�t miss any episodes! Sounds like a good start to the 2011 season. More Masterpiece mystery! programs will be announced soon.

Has anyone read the Zen books by Michael Dibdin? I'm not familiar with the books or the detective, Aurelio Zen?
On my way to check them out now!!!

Oh Edie, we NEED cable at home like NOW!!!! Miss Marple - yippee! Hercule is kind of on my back burner right now, but hey, maybe absence will make me miss him (lol). No Edie, I have not but please let us know how it goes for you. Thanks Has anyone read the Zen books by Michael Dibdin? I'm not familiar with the books or the detective, Aurelio Zen?

It's going to be a great summer on PBS, that's for sure. We have the one step higher than very basic, so we get most of the stations I like and that includes PBS, but doesn't cost too much. My grandson watchs PBS quite a bit!
Hope you get to watch these shows. They will be good!!!
