Hi Everyone:

I love the fact that they have "modernized" Christian music - I was so over the "dull and slow" music of my childhood days = would be napping and having my poor grandma poking me to stay asleep and not embarass her (lol).

Now I jump up and dance when I hear certain "upbeat" music on the radio sometimes wondering where this was when I needed it!!!

What are your thoughts on this?
You prefer the old ways of singing or are you open to the new?

***Now some Christian music I just cannot get into and wonder how Christian the lyrics and dancing is(lol)***

I am definitely open to the new. My husband and I are part of the praise & worship team at our church. A lot of the newer style praise & worship music is what we do (he sings and plays the keyboard; I sing with him).

I don't have a problem with most of the new worship,l but I DO have a problem with the artists. I don't expect for people to listen to pipe organ music--- but I don't expect Yolanda Adams to do Bones Thug and Harmony records, or Israel to play with Alicia Keys at the MTV awards (which have both occurred, BTW). Gotta watch it and keep it separate --and holy.
