When we finished our yoga class today, our teacher gave us a thought - that we should take the time to appreciate the beauty of flowers, the beauty of a fresh rain, all the things that are around us that we can take for granted. We spend our energies on the issues that are bad, but we should give thanks to all we have that is wonderful.

It made me think of the song "Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, so I just made a play list of that and "My Sweet Lord" by George Harrison.

What other songs should I add into this?

I've just added in "From a Distance" by Bette Midler!

Off the top of my head -
"Wash Your Spirit Clean" by Walela
"Sweet Lullabye" by Deep Forest
"Moku Kia Kahi" by Maile Serenaders
"'Ulalena" by Maui Myth & Magic
"guas de Maro/Waters Of March" - many versions, for English, I suggest the one by Basia Trzetrzelewska
"What Is This?" by Carmen Alice/Sergio Mendes
These last two are like lyrical streams of consciousness leading into enlightenment.

Cheers!

"Orinoco Flow" by Enya, or really practically anything by Enya! I always feel so uplifted and inspired when I listen to her music smile

I love that song too and Deep Forest too! I get tired of the same yoga dvd tracks sometimes so I play my own music in the background. I love doing yoga to Riviera Paradise by Stevie Ray Vaughn and anything by Jamiroquai, Gypsy Kings, and Michael Buble.
