As i know planktons are basically two types, first one are getting their food from the plants hence called as Phytoplankton. And the other one are getting the food from the animals so called as Zooplanktons. Am i right Deborah.

Phytoplankton convert solar energy into chemical energy. Basically, Phytoplankon are plants.

On the other hand, Zooplankton are animals. They generally feed on the Phytoplankton!
