I first heard the term food porn on the Food Network. Anthony Bourdain and Paula Deen both said it and now fitness experts are calling this obsession with watching other people workouts and reading their diet journals the same thing.

This may sound ridiculous to you unless you actually take the time to notice how many websites out there track the fitness regimens and diets of celebrities, reality t.v. show personalities, and other pseudo celebrities.

To prove this I recently went on Google Insights for Search and found that Weight Watchers searches are on the rise by 80% while Jordin Sparks weight loss is on the rise by 1480%!

I had no clue who Jordin Sparks was so I searched for her and found dozens of sites with before and after pics, her fitness regimen, her diet, etc.

I find it interesting that people spend more time searching for this stuff than they actually spend doing anything about their own workouts and diet. Why do you think people prefer to focus on other people's diet and fitness (i.e. Jennifer Hudson, Biggest Loser) vs. focus on their own healthy actions (action being the keyword).

I don't know about you but I would rather be fit than watch people get fit. I would rather eat healthy than read about what diet some celebrity is on.

I think fitness and diet porn addiction is one of the main reasons 70% of America is overweight/obese. I think we need a support group for B.S. Loser and other fitness and diet porn addicts what do you think?
