There's a great article in the April 2011 issue of Psychology Today. It specifically talks about a study that determined child free couples are happier with greater marital satisfaction. Check it out!

Is this online somewhere or do I have to hit a magazine rack at my book store?

I've just read another good article about not having kids, and the questions posed by others, the - 'when are you having kids' deal
- www.dailymail.co.uk/femail.
In it, the woman was asked on air ( while being interviewed ) if she has kids, and explains the rise of emotion that we all feel here when asked such questions.

It's great these articles are being published more - I never used to read them, as I never saw them in mainstream media - and the figures for women now who reach the end of their fertile life without having kids is interesting. especially those forecasted for the future.

She mentions the phrase 'child free' as being better than childless, but still thinks it sounds self congratulatory, but she couldn't think of a better word.
Let's face it, up til now, there's never been a need for this status, as every woman had kids before, and it was only the ones who couldn't, didn't. - and as she points out were looked on with pity or mistrust.
Interesting. we are obviously ahead of our time ! with future women not having to deal with the predjudice and sometimes downright malice. ( well, we can hope at least... )
