What are the tips of getting lips that are always soft, Can someone tell me? I have got good shape of my lips. I apply cream or moisture continuously on lips but after sometimes I feel that they are still dry and cracky. Usually I avoid wearing a lipstick. Is there anyone who has the same problem?

I use sugar scrub on my lips. Apply with a toothbrush in a firm up and down motion. This quickly removes chapped skin and makes the lips look very smooth and supple. Afterwards I rub on some vitamin e oil. And I always wear lip balm during the day to keep lips smooth and moist. Apply Vaseline at night to keep lips smooth. Hopes this helps!

I use butter - works fine on my lips. Each time I use lipstick, I apply vaseline lip balm. It kinda changes the colour of my lipstick but hey, better to have smooth lips than cracked ones, right?

Hey Kaycee,
Nice name btw! Okay so for dry lips the most easiest thing to do is gently brush your lips every night and morning using your toothbrush. You can wear a lipstick but make sure that it contains an in-built moisturizer. Baby Oil and olive oil are also great moisturizers for your lips.

is the sugar scrub bought from somewhere? Or do you make it yourself? I have the same problem and would really like to change that. I am weary of any oils because i know that oils if you go in the sun can intensify the heat and contribute towards cancer damage :S

Dear Kelly,
A sugar scrub is something that you can make in your own house. Just take some grains of sugar and blend it in oil. Since you don't want to opt for oils, you can replace it with honey. It will work for your lips and soon you will have luscious lips staring at you in the mirror.

Avoid the urge to lick your lips when they are dry as saliva acts only as a temporary moisturizing solution but eventually causes more harm as it causes dryness.

I completely agree. Licking your lips can also cause discoloration in longterm.

Calamine Lotion, Tea tree oil and olive oil are my favorite remedies for the discoloration of skin. Try them, they will surely work.

I use Lypsyl original four times a day and twice a day I brush my lips after brushing my teeth (using the brush part of the GUM tongue cleaner). I would love to use lip exfoliators but those I see on the internet have nuts in it and I am allergic. I did for a few months use Albolene as a lip exfoliator and it did a good job for that but what I do is enough to have healthy and beautiful lips.
