Good question!  Flirting is engaging in playful, sensual, teasing gestures to attract someone's attention or arouse his sexual interest. The sensuality of flirting is very subtle and understated. When you flirt, it is clear that you are sending out "I like you" signals with your eyes and body language, and there is a playful "chase me and you might get me" feeling to it. Flirting definitely has a sexual undertone. Flirting with a stranger is different from flirting with your spouse, the reason being you have a sexual history with your husband and there are fewer mysteries for him to discover about you.

Just came in from dinner with my husband, 3 kids & 14 other family members. My husband & I were texting love notes to each other throughout the night. After 22 years, I still love that we flirt.

I would be happy to flirt with my wife, but she wouldn't like it. She would find it annoying. She often has reacted that way when I try to impulsively hug or kiss her. She's rarely comfortable receiving affection.

I was afraid of that. I honestly don't know how to do anything like that. I don't know how to tease someone, really. Subtle is beyond me.
