How many times a year do you think one should hold a garage sale?

And by this I mean, should we wait for the seasonal changes or just when we need to clean out our garages...

It seems that more and more neighborhoods are holding block sales. What are your thoughts on this?

I would have a garage sale as often as you have enough stuff to sell. But don't keep having garage sales and bringing out the stuff that didn't sell last time! If you have a garage sale and the stuff doesn't sell, get rid of it.

Where I live there is a law that you can't have more than two in a year, so check if there is anything similar where you live.

Block garage sales are best because someone else does the advertising for you, and often they repeat once a year so you know when that date is coming. Also if you are part of a block garage sale you tend to get more people coming.
