Hi Everyone:

I have not had much time to read the NEW releases but wanted to pass this by you.

Do you think the OLD mystery books are better than the newer releases?

My reason for asking:
I don't know if it just my AGE/lol, but I just cannot deal with all the "violence" I am seeing in the newer versions. I do read the previews on the book covers to save my time as I learn't the hard way that the old mysteries as I knew them are far and between.

YES, the "tame" ones smile

Angela, this has been a concern of mine and I have slowed way down reviewing any of the so-called thrillers that are abnormally gross. Most are of the psychological thriller type, but other mysteries and thrillers are also amping up the violence.

It's sad because I do enjoy a good mystery, but it seems to be a sign of the times. Even some of the best selling mystery writers are also increasing the violence.

From about the beginning of March, you will no longer find reviews to these novels on this thread.

What do the rest of you think?

And the sad part of all this Edie, is that the "perverts" are "copying" the crimes from these books. Don' these authors realize they are doing society harm? Thanks for the feedback smile
