Why Choose Vegetarianism?

Tell us, why are you choosing vegetariansim? What's keeping you from that decision if you aren't sure yet?

I could be a vegetarian but my husband refuses to give up meat. I do cook meatless a couple nights a week though and he usually loves it.

I have two reasons for not wanting to eat meat. One is I believe plant proteins are healthier and I don't like commercial farming practices. I do buy the meat we use at local farms which practice ethical standards for their animals, however.

I agree with what you've said too Boomergal! I'm on my way towards vegetarianism and when I do eat meat I try to make sure it's from good sources. It makes such a difference.

I'm glad your husband at least likes the meatless meals! Maybe in a few years you can totally convert him .

I posted this on another thread too but just yesterday I discovered a website called Meatless Mondays which helps you go meatless just one day a week to start. There are lots of recipes there along with info on vegetarian diets.

I'm decided to go meatless one day a week at least, with more on the way as I try new recipes.
