I am new to candle making and want to make sure I'm doing as much right as possible. I'm using Soy wax in 16 ounce metal containers. I have LX 22 wicks, but am thinking maybe because the diameter of the tin is almost 4" I should use an LX 24 or 26. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know this is an older post (before I became editor in training), but I'm going to try and go through these for current/future readers. If I'm lucky, the original poster will see and give us an update smile

It looks like all 3 of those are for candle diameters up to 4inches. So going from one to the other may not make a difference. It can also depend on what kind of soy wax. Candle Science has a wick recommendation area. It is not all inclusive, but if your wax and size is listed it can help guide you on the right path. According to that site, it looks like LX22 was a 2nd choice with Eco 6 or 10 being 1st choice depending on the wax you use.
