Okay, I'm bi-polar and mostly stable on meds. I take 100 mg zoloft (since I'm the depressive bi-polar) and supposed to take 75 mg of Seroquel. I have had to cut my seroquel to 50 due to financial issues and the cost of refills. And yep, I'm awake till about 4 or 5 am. I can not get my mind to shut down, the racing thoughts take over. I have loved my seroquel since first being put on it cause it just shuts my mind down and knocks me out. This mind stuff is driving me crazy. And not being able to get to sleep till 4 or 5am means I'm sleeping till noon or 1, which doesn't help either. Last night is the worst night so far. I got maybe 1 hour sleep. I'm thinking of just loading up on coffee to try to avoid napping today, doesn't help that I'm sick on top of it all though. Any advice, input (other than getting back on the right dosage)?

I would mention it to your own doctor or seek the help of a sleep specialist, not sleeping is serious.

Is there any way that you would qualify for one of those discounts from a drug company? Or could you qualify for reduced price prescriptions through a community mental health clinic?

Try napping for 20 minutes every 90 minutes or so. Preferably lying on your right side and breathing through your left nostril - even if you have to block the other one with a finger. This is supposed to help activate a natural healing response.

Perhaps you could contact Deborah on the Yoga site re other types of Pranayama such as alternate nostril breathing?
