My latest article examines what it means to become enlightened: What is Enlightenment? Is Enlightenment a goal or a process? I believe it is both. To walk a path of enlightenment is to listen to the true calling of your soul to reveal itself in all of its divine glory. Let me know your thoughts

Lauren, I guess everybody has their own opinion about it but to me enlightenment is like going home in my being. Its kinda like a giant mainspring that started very tightly but now it is wound down and free which gives much more room for expressing and receiving other creative and life giving experiences.

Revelation tends to make me thing of gongs and fanfares, something big, something that has strong visual elements, something which is remembered.
To me enlightenment is more a state of being, from the inside rather than the outside.

Oh good answer Asha! Enlightenment can come in the form of revelation- I was specifically shown things around the Egyptian life. It was vital I paid attention at that time and so all sorts of psychic bells and whistles went off. It was tough to live through a time of revelation, but enlightenment can be a much quieter and ongoing process too...thank heavens!

I believe that revelation is the aha moment of UNDERSTANDING...and along the journey of the path,up to the goal of actual BEING is enlightenment.

I think of enlightenment as being imbued with knowledge/wisdom, usually of a spiritual nature.
