I've decided to have a theme to my goal setting this year which will be incorporated into my vision board. This year, it's 50 before 50...that's how old I will be in September. I have a list of 50 things I would like to accomplish before I turn 50. Some are small and some are not, I believe I should be able to accomplish them all.

I'm looking forward to a productive 49th year!

Hi Dianne, your '50 before 50 theme' is a wonderful idea. Have you listed the 50 items anywhere? (JOY)

I have it on a huge poster board in front of my desk on the wall in my home office - There are 50 items listed. All perfectly attainable if I put my mind to it.

Hi Healthymom62,

It's actually rather fun! I have my list posted on my home office wall. I have actually checked some off and continue to work on others. I've truly have 50 written down even though #50 is to complete the first 49...Lol...

I'm going to make a smaller version (same list) to put in a frame for my office at work and one for my bedroom. The plan is to keep it in front of my face.

It's caught on in my family and my sister is doing her 45 before 45. She actually has a couple of years though before she hits 45.

This has become a fun way of getting goals and some dreams completed!

Hi Dianne, you might be interested to know that there are clubs for people over 100 that have been set up to help them achieve what they still want to achieve in life! (JOY)

One secret to healthy aging is to continue to have goals and things to look forward to, no matter how old you get. I'm glad to see clubs for those over 100! I hope I'm in one someday.

I love this idea as I get caught up in having to achieve EVERYTHING right NOW. So if I do things this way, I can pace myself. Im keeping a running list of things Ive done and plan to do on 43things.com. This website is so much fun if youre not sure about what youd like to do or if youre not sure how to put your goal into words, theres most likely someone with a similar dreamand you can join them.

Hi Leah, thanks for the info! A website like that is also useful for giving you ideas of unusual things to do before a certain age. (JOY)
