Do you use voice recognition software? Please comment about what type you use and how your experience has been with speech recognition software. Do you find it useful?

I use dragon occasionally but in my case I type extremely quickly so it is much quicker for me to type rather than to talk. So even though I have it, most of the time I type. I only use it to translate dictation that I did while I'm driving for example.

Hi, Lisa.

I agree that if you type quickly, using Dragon may be slower than typing. I type quickly as well when my hands are working well, but I use Dragon to reduce the stress to my hands. With my health issues, sometimes I cannot type well and then Dragon comes in very handy.

I have not tried it yet for recorded dictation, but that sounds as if it could be very useful.

Does anyone use Dragon Dictate 2 for Mac? I've been thinking of trying it, but the reviews I found seemed mixed. Before I spend $200 I would like to know if its easy and accurate to use.
