Wonderful article, Susan, and beautifully written. It rings true for me. I have four spiritual teachers and have learned so much from them. Two are still alive and two have walked on from Mother Earth. The ones who have passed still teach me in subtle ways. Maybe something they told me years ago made no sense at the time but enlightenment comes in sometimes quiet, sometimes startling ways and I then understand what they were trying to teach me. Wonderful! It is wonderful to grow spiritually and to reach that point when I can say Aha! that is what he meant!
