I have been waiting for my favorite Christmas movie, It's A Wonderful Life, starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed to come on TV. I have not seen any mention of it yet. Is anyone getting this movie or other Christmas classics, like Miracle On 34th Street with Maureen O'Hara, or I'm Dreaming Of a White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Bob Hope on TV?

I hope our old classic Christmas movie airings are not a thing of the past.

My favorite has to be Babes in Toyland, with Laurel and Hardy

Oh! I love that movie, Babes in Toyland. I have not seen that for years. Laurel and Hardy were so fun to watch.

Arrow, I love your avatar!

I no longer have any kind of pay-TV, so I rely completely on DVDs and VHSs. I'm slowly moving all into DVD format (and of course now things are moving into BlueRay *sigh*). It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas are two favorites that I watch over and over. I don't have Miracle on 34th Street .... yet. The Maureen O'Hara version is the best I've seen!!

Thanks Phyllis, she's my alter ego and travels with me across cyberspace!

Sara, there are a lot of old movies available on the internet and sometimes you can download them.

I love "A Christmas Story," and a friend actually gave me the leg lamp. I use it every Christmas. It's tacky, funny and a definite conversation piece.

Cori, I bet the leg lamp is quite a conversation starter. How fun!
My brother is looking for a very old movie starring Red Skelton. The title is "Yellow Cab" and it used to play every year during the Christmas season.

"A Christmas Story" plays for 24 hours straight on Christmas Eve. I think TBS is the channel that broadcasts it. I just checked Amazon and only saw "Yellow Cab Man" on VHS :((. Good luck with the search.
