The Christmas angel was busy that night. With feathers falling from her wings like gentle flakes of snow she laid a trail for the revelers singing hymns of joy house to house along the village lane.

Thank you for giving us another vehicle to use for being grateful. I've enjoyed meditation for many years - along with stroop waffles and erdt de soup (sp?)!

erwtensoep -

Split pea soup with cut up pieces of hotdog or air-dried bacon pieces plus whole fresh / frozen peas and green beans.

A favorite here in Holland, especially in restaurants as a first course.

stroopwaffles -

waffels with molasses instead of maple or king syrup.

Yes, I know. I was employed as a "consultant" to a major oil company in the late 70's - early '80's and enjoyed erwtensoep many, many times! Thanks for the correct spelling!

I'll bet it was Royal Dutch Shell. My cousin who lives in New Orleans works for them and gets to travel to The Netherlands for work occasionally. It is nice to see family from home (I'm from Baltimore).

Back to the topic of this thread - I also love meditation for the joy and energy it allows to rise from deep within.

Reading and Bates. They went belly-up 1985 or '86. I loved my frequent trips to Holland.

On to soupier subjects, can you send me a recipe for erwetensoep?

I'm looking forward to continuing to read your articles.

Your recipe will be fine. Thank you for sharing. :-)

I hope you had a good Christmas celebration on Monday and Tuesday. I bought beautiful hand blown glass ornaments when I was there.

Have a great day!

Susan, as I look at my little Christmas tree sitting on my desk by the window, I thought about your Christmas Angel meditation. All the ornaments on my tree are Angels.

This is just one of those things I like to share when they happen.

(Technology does have its virtues.)

But, just before signing on, I found my voice recorder and was listening to things I can't even tell you how long ago they were from. In fact, I'd forgotten, even how to make the thing work.

But as usual, I could hear the background and AS USUAL I was cooking ( I just do it by senses - a little this, little that) but that's when I get some of my greatest informations -philosophizing, etc., especially Spiritually.

Anyway, this just happened and the article I named (I go back and forth between tasks...I walk away and gain a different perspective, I suppose).

The title is "Earth Angels and Christmas."

It very much has to do w/Christmas and Angel Meditation, for a number of reasons. Reasons I'd forgotten until I found this thing, I had thought was a silver box of breath-mints!

Sometimes it feels like you're walking across waters. One inspirational stepping stone at a time. Careful not to miss, lol wink

Dear Elleise, thanks for your thoughts. I also love the angels who come to earth to guide us and lend a helping hand. I like your closing thoughts - "one inspirational stepping stone at a time."

smile Susan
