I'm curious how many people have thrown a real charity party --you know: bring charitable donations instead of gifts. There are so many holiday parties coming up, and so many opportunities to truly get into the spirit of giving. Do you plan to throw a "charity party?" Turn a Holiday Party into a Charity Party

I have not personally done one, but I notice more and more places are using the same idea. Bring a can good and get in free set up.

Great post smile

This is an AWESOME idea Tricia - I think everyone who plans a party should do this!

I recently celebrated 5 years in remission from Myeloma. To celebrate I held a party and asked my friends to bring a gift of a book for a five year old boy or girl.

We had 82 books donated and we delivered them to the Brisbane Children's Hospital School where they were gratefully appreciated.

I got to celebrate a huge milestone in my life with my wonderful friends (some of whom helped me through a bone marrow transplant), and the hospital school benefited by my friends generosity.

Win, Win, Win!!

Cheerio for now
