I was looking for a spot to post my rosemary photos and this seemed perfect!

We don't cook with it - we make rosemary shampoo out of it smile What are some cooking ideas? We have a huge pot of it which is just delightful. I love running my hands through it each morning before I do yoga.

Those photos are from the summer; now it's inside on a shelf in the dining area. It's snowy out there smile

It's not low carb, but use it on potatoes. Place a wooden spoon handle beside the potato. Make 4 or 5 slices across, stopping at the spoon handle. You won't slice the potato completely through. Fan the potato slices open and place a sprig of rosemary between each. Drizzle with olive oil, then salt and pepper the potato. Bake at 350 until it reaches the desired tenderness.

I also like to use rosemary in beef stew or when I am cooking beef pieces in Guinness.

LOL ok probably not the potato recipe in our house, but the beef stew one sounds great! I think it would be good in roast chicken too yes?

Absolutely! It's great with roast chicken. Just stuff that bird with a quartered onion and some rosemary sprigs.

I'ts also lovely on baked pork chops with lemon, garlic, and rosemary. I am so jealous of your beautiful plant. Mine don't seem to like the Kansas heat.

Love rosemary: simply with potatoes and olive oil, alongside garlic with lamb, and in a orange juice/cream sauce with chicken.

Rosemary is for remembrance!

I was just reading that rosemary is great for your health, it's on of the top 30 "super foods" to include in your weekly meal plan. So I'll figure something out. Pork roast sounds good!

I agree about rosemary being a superfood! I love it and it grows great in our Texas heat.

I use it in many dishes like soups and stews, or with baked chicken.

Did you know that marinating meat with rosemary before BBQing helps neutralize the toxic chemicals created by cooking with a BBQ? I always use it with my marinades and it adds a great taste too.

That's great to know, Joan, thanks for sharing that!

I love how it smells when I run my hands through it.
