Welcome.

This is the thread for the history book club which begins November 1st. If you want to join us, we are reading The Iliad by Homer. We will be exploring the epic tale of just a few days out of the long Trojan War.

The plan is to comment as we read on characters, events, scenery, or anything else that catches our fancy. I will be posting questions to make you dig deeper as you read. Our goal is to have fun and learn a little bit.

Join us as we go back in time to see mighty warriors fight against a forbidden love. (Actually, there is more fighting than love in this epic.)

Before we begin reading the book, let me ask you this question.

What is worth fighting for?

What is worth dying for?
