Hi Everyone,
Fall is just around the corner, and how are you going to decorate? I just love bringing out the fall colors. It really never turns cooler for awhile here in the Houston, TX area, until the end of November, but I still decorate inside and out. My favorite time of the year. I would just like to know how all of you decorate for the fall.

Well to begin...I have gained a new room in my house with my daughter off to college. I plan to turn it into a office/bedroom with a day bed for when she does come home (even though she insists that she loves sleeping on the couch in the living room). So today I just finished painting it antique white - which is more cream colored then white. I plan to find nice rustic colored drapes.

Right now, I am still with my aunt. I also write ghost stories....when I get my own place, the whole thing will be done in fall year round.

Maroon, yellow, green, orange will be the main colors - Maroon and burgundy being the most visible. Warm, friendly, and inviting.

I also want to do a little Munsters/Addams family decorating in the kitchen/dining area with candleabras and keeping a spider web tablecloth on the table. Too ooky, mysterious, and spooky??

I love to walk the woods and bring in leaves, twigs, and other nature decorating resources. It is so much fun with the children.

Fall has always been my favorite time of year. I love the majestic colors, the cool crispness in the air. Cool enough to bundle up at night. Warm throws just perfect for cuddling either alone with a book and nice cup of tea or a loved one.

Robin,It sounds like you enjoy Halloween as much as my son does. He is almost 35, and he still loves it.

You have the right idea Rebecca. That is fun to do with the kids, and they do have fun for sure.

Hi Dianne, I love the cooler days too. I live in the Houston area, and finally, finally, it had cooled down a bit. Still around 90, but cooler. You are right, it is fun to snuggle with a loved one, and read, listen to music, on those cooler evenings.

Hi PJK.
It's getting a little cooler outsite, but the house is still rather warm. Very nice breezes are blowing through though....I can't wait!!!

Yes Dianne it is getting nicer to sit outside now. Just came in from sitting out on the patio. Going to do my dusting and put out the rest of my fall things today. It is just kind of hard to get that fall excitement when it is still to warm out. Today, I'm going to do it.
