Another natural way for women to improve breast health may be through increasing the intake of omega-3s. For instance, women who regularly consume foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids over many years may be less likely to develop breast cancer. In addition, the risk of dying from breast cancer may be significantly less for those who eat large quantities of omega-3 from fish and brown kelp seaweed (common in Japan). This is particularly true among women who substitute fish for meat.
Of course, further research is still needed to understand the effect that omega-3s may have on breast cancer prevention and treatment. This is one relatively easy thing to try though!
