When my sister was in her last month of living on this plane, she kept dreaming/day dreaming of people who had previously passed. She would actually carry on conversations with them. Talking, asking questions, calling them by name, etc. At the time, I thought it was just the medication she was on that was making her hallucinate and be a little wacky. Now I know, the medication had very little, if anything, to do with it.
But when she actually passed over, we didn't make it to the hospital in time to say goodbye. Although we missed it by only 20 minutes or so, she was 'waiting' for us. Hovering in the corner above the bed that held her lifeless body. The room was engulfed with an amazing peaceful feeling.
Fearing my family would think I was completely insane, I withheld the information for as long as I could on the 2 hour trip home. Finally, about halfway home, I blurted out, "She was still in the room when we got there... she was waiting for us." Everyone (the other 3 in the vehicle) agreed that they could sense her presence there with us but we all feared ridicule so we stayed silent until I opened the 'door' to talk about it.
It was comforting to know, she waited around to say "Goodbye".
