I took the real age test recently and according to the test I'm 35 (I'm actually 40). Apparently not knowing my cholesterol levels, not talking enough to friends and family, and not eating 6-11 servings of grains per day is bad. Plus I don't workout enough according to this test (whatever on that one). If I had answered those questions differently would I be 27? Cuz that's about how old I really feel.
According to my doc I'm pretty healthy. Scary to think what most Americans would score on this test.
I thought eating less grains and more veggies was supposed to be better plus having too many friends and talking to my family more often actually stresses me out big time. Not sure this test is so accurate.

HA HA....
I took this test a while back - I was 52 {I'm 45}.
Did you know that because I drive a big truck I scored {younger} than if I drove a small car.
Also, because at the time I took the test, I was cutting back on my blood pressure medicine, due to dieting, they penalized me and made me older because you are supposed to follow your doctor's instructions :::sigh:::
But now I'm off meds, and I've lost some weight - so I'm like 46 HA HA HA. Once I throw exercise in there, I'm sure I can do a Benjamin Button.

I was taking blood pressure medicine for awhile, but was able to stop taking it after a year. Last time I took the test I scored older as well. I wanted to retake it, but have not had the opportunity yet.

This test is flawed I tell you! Other things that prevented me from scoring how I really feel were not flossing enough, not knowing my bp (which happens to be so low that if it was lower I would be dead), and not enough vitamin C, D folic acid (this might be true actually).
I'm 27 damn it!!! Jus's kids only recently figured out I was 40 and they were like wow you're old but don't worry we won't tell. I'm sure they ran home and told their mom LOL.

I think that the test is good for pointing out how important the little things are, and how they can add up. For instance, not flossing can lead to inflammation of the gums, and research has shown a definite link between inflammation and heart disease. If you have an accident while driving a big truck you will likely have fewer injuries than if you drive a little car. People with friends and family to talk with tend to live longer than recluses. People who are unaware of their BP and cholesterol levels can't fix them if they are too high. The real benefit of the test is to point out where you can make the little changes that will add up to a longer, healthier life. It looks like it worked for Deanna. Congratulations on dropping weight and lowering your score!

True, good point. I definitely am making it a point to floss more and starting up vitamins again. Not gonna give up motorcycle riding with my boyfriend just to prolong my life though. It's too much fun : )

I think it's like an IQ test - it only works on a certain averages level. Not really for individuals.

Hey Monica, I'm with you on motorcycling, although I ride my own little Suzuki 250. Real Age took that into account but it still rated me 11 years under my calendar age. How many veggies equals one motorcycle? I wonder!
