I've just started reading "An Equal Music" by Vikram Seth, which is his novel intertwined around Classical music and musicianship, love and deafness. Of course I know the quoted poem on Page 5 but have any of you who have read the book identified the poem on Page 4? Certainly I know it but you do have to know your Schubert fairly well to spot where it comes from!
