It's been a wild September for us. Lots of activity and thinking and prioritizing. Recent events have me looking at how to start from the beginning and see where it leads. Starting from scratch

OMG Debbie, wow about that fire! That's crazy!
But good article - I know sometimes when I want to start something new, I tend to want to buy the biggest and best. So, sometimes, because of that, I don't ever start because I can't afford the materials LOL.
Good advice - we should never be held back from our creative efforts.

Oh, Debbie. I'm so sorry about the fire. But I loved your article about it. You're so right. The most important tool you have is your mind.
In a way, events like this force us to wipe our slates clean. It's a karmic/cosmic thing.
I feel a little guilty after reading about your experience. We're moving into a hoarder's house (not as bad as you see on tv. No filth. Sufficient living space) but I've had fleeting visions of a fire burning everything to the ground just to be rid of it all.
It's time for me to remember gratitude.
Great article. Thanks!

Thanks, Ladies It has definitely been challenging and interesting to deal with everything that has come from the fire. However, there have been many Blessings within the experience also - nobody was injured (which is a BIG one!), it wasn't our home - so we're not having to figure out how to put a roof over our families heads and everything that was lost is replaceable IF we decide we want or need to replace it. As I've dug through and tried to inventory what was there, it's amazing how much stuff was just stored there rather than being passed on to others who would enjoy or use it. I have been looking around our home and letting go of stuff that we simply don't really need or use - de-cluttering by choice instead of necessity, lol Deb.

Deb, I've been decluttering stuff in our garage since our last move. It's been amazing what I've found LOL. Stuff I'd completely forgotten about - and some of it I hadn't seen for over ten years. Crazy... So much better to pass it along.

Isn't funny how that works - we buy things thinking we need them, and maybe we do at the moment, but then when we're finished with them we just don't get around to getting rid of them.
