Years ago I read this book, A Journey Home, by Kryon. What I found so interesting about this book was that the lead character had surrounded himself with other characters who had challenged him, and helped him grow.
Also, a book called The Little Soul and the Sun, by Neale Donald Walsh touches on the same thing. What if we come into this world to do a specific thing. To learn compassion, forgiveness, patience, tolerance, or whatever.
You know that old saying, "I asked the Lord to give me patience, and he sent me a two year old." LOL.
The truth of who we are, the most amazing person we could ever be, almost always seems to birth out of a stressful situation.
