Hi Berry K -

I don't think body art is good or bad in and of itself. I personally like tattoos, piercings, etc but while I have several piercings, I don't have any tattoos / brandings / etc because there are no images I want on my body for the rest of my life. It's not for everyone though and it's not something people should take lightly. I actually heard someone say that they got their girlfriend's name tattooed on them and "when we break up I'll get it removed." Also, while a good tattoo is art, a bad tattoo is just ugly!

i think it's hard to say goog or bad, it's all depend on whether people like them or not.

Personally I believe body art, whether it be a tattoo, a piercing or a branding, is an expression of oneself (or at least it should be). Self expression is never a bad thing! Tattoo's are beautiful and usually reflect a person's personality, spirituality or their pieces tell a type of story - something personal or an experience. Piercings are a personal prefence and to me they are like decorative art as well. I have 5 individual tattoo's on different area's of my body. Each one is a personal reminder to me of something that has happened within my life, at different times of my life. I also have 14 body piercings (mostly my ears) and because I enjoy jewelry I maybe adding a 15th one this summer! Hope this reply answers the request you were looking for.

Hi Jackbarton, A tattoo doesn't necessarily damage the skin but all tattoo's have a little pain associated with them. The needle goes through the dermis of the skin (first few layers) so that the ink will stay where the artist injects it. It is a life long image in your skin that can be softened by laser removal, but it rarely disappears permantely. Tattoo's can scar a persons skin or raise the image off of the skin. Sometimes when a tattoo artist has a heavy hand (presses the tattoo gun too hard into the skin) it causes scarring. I have seen some really bad scars by inexperienced artists. Hope this helps with your question.

Maybe for those person who have many tattoo its good to them cause they think that person with tattoo can make them handsome and beautiful to look...But for me that's not real good cause maybe it can cause some side effects to our body...if I want to have a tattoo maybe you can use henna cause there's no chemicals added it just a temporary tattoo.

I do not think it is bad. I myself only have ear piercings (just 1 for each ears) but I would love some tattoos (me and needles do not go well together but with the rest artist i could do through with it because the tattoos i want are VERY important to me). There are some piercings that makes me cringe but still I do not judge. Body modifications I find crazy and disgusting but again it is someone's choice so I don't want any of that banned (there i actually judge in a way ~ it just makes me think of all the poor people mutilated either from birth or by an accident or a crime then you have people who chooses to do that to themselves its just insane).

It all depends on the person and their preferences.
