I personally have been so busy with school I've barely stitched, but I'd love to live vicariously! What are people working on?

BTW I found a really cool book at the quilt store of embroidered borders intended for quilts with ideas and suggestions for how to design more - Bareroots Embroidery Borders. A sampler may be in my future!

Unfortunately, I'm not stitching much right now ... school for me too. I am crocheting a little (new grandbaby needs an afghan LOL). I'll take a tiny break in November and hopefully get some much-needed sewing and maybe even some embroidery done.

One bad thing about going to school online is I can't stitch in class!

I love to embroider. I do not do it too often, so it takes me quite awhile to finish one project. My current one is a kitty for my daughter. I drew the cat sitting next to a large clay pot with a fern in it. The drawing is in pencil and very light, so you may not see it in the picture. The cat is finished and I am working on the fern.

Phyllis - that's gorgeous! I should be stitching - I have a project I need to finish, but have just not had the motivation to stitch (depression is a real bugger!).

Phyllis that's so pretty! What are you planning to do with it when you finish? Or do you have a plan yet? Sometimes I do things because I just want to, with no specific ending for them LOL

I will frame it and give it to my daughter as one of her Christmas presents. She loves cats.

Thank you, ladies. I love to embroider. I have a few other hobbies I love also and keep switching back and forth between them. Beading and embroidery both are very therapeutic hobbies for me.

On the kitty, I am going to put one frond in front of him so it will look like he is peeking out from the fern.

Phyllis -

Have you done any embroidering with beads? I've done a couple of samples and I love how they look, but it interferes with my stitching rhythm. I do have a gorgeous needlepoint piece waiting to start that is beading onto canvas and then stitching. I'm looking forward to that.
