I had been reading up on aloe vera recently. I am very familiar with it since we used it as I grew up on sunburns and the like. I had read that the juice of the plant has medicinal properties. What is difference between the juice and the gel, and how can you extract the juice yourself?

Aloe juice or the drinkable gel is good for stomach problems. I normally buy it at the health food store when I want/need some. If I am using it externally, I pick it.
