Greetings all:
One thing that I've been thinking about all week is the power of music. I doubt very many people can negate it's impact on our lives. Music can be used to motivate, to inspire and also to help us to calm down and relax.
Do you have a theme song or a song you just HAVE to listen to regularly? Whenever I walk the streets of Manhattan in my mind I can't help but hear George Benson sing: "They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway/ They say there's always magic in the air...
In fact I'm listening to it now as I type this. What's your theme song? Stop in and share.

how did i miss this thread? cool topic idea.  My theme song for some reason has always been Spirit in the Sky. And I am not religious...but there is something about the song that is ME.

My husband had someone record a song for him. It's quite hilarious. It's called backbreaker (I think). I should post it on my website. Maybe I'll do that later and link it up.

Beetlemess, that is very neat - my theme song in my younger adult years was Freebird! But somewhere along the line I switched over to something else. But how cool we have that song in common.

Hey everyone thanks for stopping in with your songs!
My theme song for this site is Aladdin's A Whole New World. I always listen to it when I post a new article. I'm listening to it right now.
"...a whole new world/a hundred thousand things to see/I'm like a shooting star/I've come so far/I can't go back to who I used to be..."
It reminds me of what life coaching is. It's about closing the gap between where you are now and where you want to be.

What a great idea. I always say that music is the background of life and there is a song for every major event in my life. My ice-breaker speech for Toastmasters was themed to "Road to Nowhere."
I listen to "No Rain" by Blind Melon a lot, but I also love the video. I think the bee girl might be why I love that song so much and derive so much hope from it.
