On September 3, Mike Edwards (founding member and cellist) was killed in a freak accident at the age of 62. According to what I've seen in news reports, his vehicle was crushed by a large hay bale, weighing 600 kg (1,323 pounds). Wow... what a way to go.

Ohhh...I, too, loved ELO! I went to a live concert to see their great show with the lasers and electric orchestral instruments. So cool.
I'm sad he died--especially in that manner.
My favorite ELO songs included "Sweet Talkin' Woman," "Roll Over Beethoven," "Boy Blue," "Do Ya," "Don't Bring Me Down," and "Ma-Ma-Ma-Bell"...and more.

That's really sad...I never really got into ELO but they had some great energy about them, every time they performed.
