My son's on his last quarter of school, he'll graduate with a bachelor's degree in December. It sounds like there are no jobs at all out there though, that they're all being fought over by the out of work "older adults". Is it really that bad?

Yes, it really is bad. For example, Dan's best friend has just been laid off from ANOTHER job. And he does computer work in Seattle, which there's normally tons of work available.

In southern CA, my BIL cannot get work, my sister cannot get work. My Step-father-in-law is hurting for work. There's not much out there. I am lucky that i have very small needs and can do my at-home stuff to get by.

For your son. Probably working for himself, like you do, might be the best thing if he can't get in with a company. What is his field?
