As far as influencing their own countrymen and establishing a way of life as viewed by other nationalities, it would have to be Louis XIV.
The aristocratic lifestyle and the elevation of the royalty to levels that well-distanced the commoners was solidified during his reign, i.e., Versailles. I feel this set the groundwork for the eventual French Revolution & break from a monarchy form of government 70-some years after his passing.
