Hi everyone -
On Tuesday I woke up feeling sick and got progressively worse through the day with an allergic reaction to mosquito bites (we have a particularly bad infestation of flood mosquitos this year.) Benedryl wasn't cutting it, so I finally went to the doctor and ended up with an antihistamine cocktail and cortisone. (I was given the cortisone to take if I didn't get any better, and ended up taking it when even with the extra antihistamines my mouth started swelling up.
I don't know if it's the cortisone or the allergy, but I'm still feeling sick. I almost feel asleep at work on Friday and I slept all day today and just don't feel well. Shouldn't I be feeling better by now? How long does it take to get over something like this?

That sounds awful. You got a double whammy: first the mosquito reaction and then the cortisone. I had an allergic reaction to antibiotics two summers ago. It took me a week to feel back to normal.

Thanks for the good wishes! Unfortunately, I'm still fighting to get back to normal. I'm going to see the allergist on Tuesday because I got another bite and was having more problems.
I slept all day today. I hope I can get back to at least a semblance of normal soon!

I hope you are feeling better now. The mosquitoes are horrible here. When I go out into the garden I have to wear long pants, long sleeves and hose myself down with mosquito spray a couple of times. It is so hot now, we are in the triple digits. At this point I wonder why are we growing this big garden?! I guess this winter when we are having frozen garden veggies I will have forgotten about all of this.
