I just read a great line in Brian Tracy's book, No Excuses.
"What got you here, won't get you any further."
When it comes to careers, that is so true. Remember how hard you worked to get that promotion, or get that raise? Doing the same thing every day is not going to get you to the next step. What worked yesterday and got you that promotion, is not going to help you get to the next level - you've got to step up your game. Constantly strive for improvement. Not only at work, but everything you do.
