I was reading the user posts on there as well as people being scammed out of their money. Fiverr.com has told people that once the money changes hands, there is nothing they can do about it so if you are thinking about buying something there you need to be careful.

There were positive posts as well as negative so I guess this goes with any site like that.

There is another site called tenbux.com where you can do the same for five or ten dollars like fiverr.com I guess.

That tenbux site seems like an unnecessary duplication of the same exact listings. I won't be using that one.

I WAS thinking a fifty-dollar gig site might be interesting.

This is an old discussion but I have used fiverr and also offered services. So for I am not that impressed. I have not been able to actually use any of the services I have purchased. I didn't complain to the people because for five dollars you kind of get what you pay for.

I have offered services too, but most of the people who contact me want everything to be totally free. I have a gig to write one article for five dollars. I get emails that say stuff like "send me a sample that I can use on my site" but I do offer examples in my description so I am not going to do that.

Some people are very nice and thankful though, I've netted about 20 dollars from them. Not sure if I will continue. My initial idea would be to offer a five dollar article, then they would like my work and hire me for my actual services at my normal price. So far that has not happened but I will give it more time.

The new rule is that there is no bottom limit to the payouts. So that is a good change.
