I'm about to finish off my "blue journal" and move on to a new one.

The blue one has a compass sort of shape embossed into its leather cover. I'll try to post a photo for you soon.

The new one is softer, more of a suede finish. I had a suede type of journal previously and found I really miss its softness. I liked that snuggly feel.

What are you writing in?

Hi, Lisa!

My journal is kind of a magenta color and about the size of my thumb. Yup, it's a computer journal, and resides on a USB flash drive... I call it a flash drive because I hate the sound of "thumb drive"... for some reason, naming things after body parts is rather aesthetically unpleasant to me.
:-)

I'm late to the party, but my current journal is from Carolina Pad. I love all of the new designs that they are coming out with, and I've stifled my inner critic, which suggests that the line is more for teenage girls than for women in their 30s! I long for the days when I actually had unlimited time to write in my journal, though! Laura (without a signature thus far!)

Laura, I know that inner critic is awfully hard to get to shaddup, but do tell yourself- and repeat as necessary- that it is your journal, your very own, and it's the biggest- and possibly the only- thing in life that you truly can "Have it your way"!

There are more things in life than not where we have to follow the rules, the laws, whatever... that is not necessarily a bad thing, of course, but a Journal is your very own, your own soapbox, your own place to play your way! You are totally the BOSS! I firmly believe that that is one of the many reasons why journaling is so very good for a person! Everyone needs to have something where the only rules are those YOU make, and if you want to change your mind, you can do so at any time!

My latest journal is actually a beautiful leather bound journal that says "love" on the outside with a silk tie that holds the journal together.

I second that notion, Lisa. I'd like to see a few more pictures in here. I'm a visual sort, and anyway, don't you think images inspire one to write or whatever?

All I need to do is figure out how to put in a picture here...
