No thunder storms or rain yet -- just lots of sunshine, but a nice cool breeze usually begins in late afternoon and through the evenings. Nice for sitting outside after supper with a cuppa Irish coffee.

We only got a couple of passing showers today. The last few nights have been great, cooling off enough to shut off the a/c and open the windows for a nice sleep experience with the fresh air.

Granpappy's ticked off worse than a hound that can't climb up after the coon...

He figured that the showers would be a good time to get his weekly cleaning in. He was naked as a jay bird with a soap-on-a-rope & lathering up during the first shower passing. The second shower was not enough to rinse him off.

<< remind self to discuss with Granpappy about using biodegradable/environemtnally-friendly soap for these ventures in the out of doors. I originally thought he had one of those retro 'Fuzzy Wuzzy Soaps' (remember those?) but it was a separate science project in need of a trim.... YUCK! >>

The man is just going to have to get himself into the creek to rinse off. Might be a little cold for him though......

I don't even want to know what that science project is all about. Leave it to Granpappy with all his "great" ideas.....

Once you get Granpappy all shined up, I'll fix us all some lunch. Then we can tackle the shed to see if there are any more 'fuzzy wuzzy' soaps and other junk to get rid of in the yard sale.

I might be able to come up with a few things for the yard sale. I know I have some dishes in storage, and some odds and ends. I will bring them along. Any monies raised by selling my stuff I'd like to donate to putting on the next hootenanny.

Great, Debbie. I have a few large boxes of old clothing patterns from the early 1960's forward. I think those would sell good as "vintage patterns".

I am cookin' up a beef stew to have out on the front porch. Grab a big soup mug and come on out. Hot bread is just coming out of the oven and there is a big bowl of homemade butter on the table. Granpappy is already chowin' down.

Granpappy's never too far away from some good ole home cooking. It smells wonderful around here, and I am going to head out to the porch to enjoy this great stew and some nice hot bread. Thanks, Phyllis!
