In your study of the early 20th century, was there ever much discussed on the horrors of the Stalin actions such as the concentration camps?

My mother is German, she has told me stories about somethings that had happened with my oma and such. My oma though won�t talk about it. One of my patients told me about when she was a girl and being in concentration camp and being brought there, and the horror stories that she lived through. There are some very devistating thing that happened to her, one of the worst was, she had found her way home after being in the concentration camp for 5 years, it took her day and after finding her home and mother her mother would not accept her being afraid that she her self would be picked up and brought in a camp. She seems to think it had to do with her being a child that she even lived through this torture.

Wow! There are so many stories from these horrifying times. I have met one person that was in a concentration camp, and he would not talk about it either.
