I have two ficus trees in my house that I find impossible to clean, but I don't want to throw them out. Of course they are artifical, but whenever I try to clean the leaves, they come off the tree and there are SO MANY of those little things.

Anyone with suggestions on how to clean my trees? The dust is on there pretty good so a duster does not work.

When I want to clean my ficus tree, I take it to the bath room, lay a towel on the floor of the tub, and cover the container and the area around the trunk of the tree with plastic. I use my shower sprayer, get some cheap shampoo and pour it over the leaves, lather, and spray off. This does the trick. Then I let it sit for about a hour until it quits dripping, remove the tree from the tub onto a dry towel and let it sit for awhile. Sometimes I let it sit over night or until later in the day and wow, shiny leaves again, and smells good too. LOL

That sounds like an excellent idea! I'll give it a try. Thanks!
