I am drying corn husks on a clothesline on my patio. I love the sound of them as the breezes swing them back and forth. It reminds me of when my siblings and I were little and would play in the corn fields. We loved to listen to the corn whisper to us.

After harvest, my Dad would form the corn stalks into tipis to dry. Us kids would hide inside a "tipi" and sometimes fell asleep in there. We each had our own tipi and kept treasures hidden in them.

I notice that some of my corn husks are turning into tight spirals because they are so narrow. I hope they unfurl when I soak them to make dolls out of them.

Has anyone ever made corn husk dolls? I know how to do it, but have never tried it. I am anxious to see how they turn out.
