Who do you feel is the most misunderstood historical figure?

You should ask by age group! I grew up in the 1950's when our founding fathers were revered and we thought Europeans coming over here were settlers, not "invaders."

Younger people don't learn that much about the founding fathers and what made America great. No one even attempts to understand George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and others who drew up our Constitution because they are not studied that much anymore.

You are right. It is almost sickening to learn that what you learned in school is not the truth.
