I bought one for my mother who did not care for it. It is convenient but you have to use their brand of coffee, tea and hot cocoa and my mother likes her own brand of roast.
If you are concerned about economy, she found it is better to use the other drip maker. Even if she made slightly more than she drank, she could pour the rest into ice cube trays for iced coffees or blend the coffee cubes for frozen drink...use it in baking. Coffee even adds a deep dimension to gravies, chocolate cakes and frostings, etc. Have you heard of red eye gravy?
But if you like each cup freshly brewed, those one-cup systems are the way to go.
