A reader just e-mailed me to ask for help combining two names -- Jeffrey and Guy -- into one name.

The reader didn't specify a gender for the resulting "combined" name, so any ideas you have, either for boys or for girls, would be appreciated.

Combining - like Guyrey Jeff? Jeff Guyrey?

Not quite -- we're trying to combine them into a single name by using letters taken from both.

So, Griffin might be a contender. It uses the G from Guy and the F's of Jeffrey.

Fulton is another idea. It has an F from Jeffrey and the U of Guy.

For girls, maybe Judy, which has the J of Jeffrey and the U and Y of Guy.
