Is anyone getting alot of snow in their area? We are definately lacking here in Jackson Hole. I've been backcountry skiing in crusty conditions just due to desperation for want of exercise! The ski areas have very limited terrain open right now...

October was unusually snowy and cold along the east slopes of the Canadian Rockies. Snow is on the mountains for winter now that November's here. Ski hills are opening and we're just about ready to set aside the hiking boots for skis. Sigh!

Cheers,
Megan

I'm finding the Winter Olympics thrilling to follow! Many of the athletes have overcome huge challenges in their lives to get to these games. The stories about their adversities are so amazing!

I am also grateful for my wonderful neighbors, who support my enthusiasm by letting me come watch their TV in the evening. One couple even gave me their house key for the weekend, so I could come over and watch the Olympics while they are out of town at a hockey tournament. They even programmed the TV for me so I wouldn't have to figure it out!

I hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics as much as I am!
