Without having any link with ill health and other reasons people used to behave like you. My father (63 years old) and father-in-law(73 years old) are such type of persons. Their stories are similar to you. Both of them are suffering from High blood pressure and heart related problems. Doctors assumed that their behavior might have played a great role to this state of health. So, they are trying their best to change themselves as well as diet and going to counselor.
Some of the tips are: when you are angry don't listen to your heart, do some other things like watching TV, browsing the net, or anything. Think about the event later on. Judge it from that person's point of view, learn to forgive and forget, you may write down whatever you want to speak to that person and then throw it away. At the time of rage drink glasses of cool water, wash your face, hand and feet, you may take a bath too.
I talk to myself every night, judge my behavior and promise to change the negative ones. We are not perfect but we have a great power and that is "the WILL POWER". If you wish you can do anything. This power of our ancestors helped them to build civilizations after civilizations, that's why, we are here. Why will you leave behind? Look, you already have started to change yourself.....
